NFL Notes: RGIII, Falcons, Packers, & Seahawks

Robert Griffin III

According to Jason Reid of ESPN, coaches have told him that “several” offensive linemen dislike QB Robert Griffin III.

RGIII wouldn’t say if he suffered a concussion in last Thursday’s preseason game.

“You’ve got to talk to the people who report that stuff,” Griffin said, via Pro Football Talk. “I don’t report that stuff. I was in the locker room, taking a shower, getting ready to watch the rest of the game, so I don’t know.”

Falcons

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated Falcons president Rich McKay as the head of the league’s competition committee, effective immediately.

This comes after McKay was suspended from the committee for the Falcons piping fake noise into the Georgia Dome during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Packers

  • Packers signed rookie WR James Butler.

Seahawks

  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters on Thursday that S Earl Thomas (shoulder) is on track to play in regular season opener. (Bob Condotta)
