NFL Notes: Richard Sherman, Arm Wrestling, Draft, Ravens

Richard Sherman

• Albert Breer reports that the Patriots’ interest in Seahawks CB Richard Sherman was prior to them signing Stephon Gilmore at the start of free agency and he would be shocked to see them revisit a potential deal this offseason.
• According to Breer, the Patriots were in the market for a big, long cornerback after losing Logan Ryan, which is why they had interest in Gilmore and Sherman.

Arm Wrestling

• Ian Rapoport reports that the NFL plans to fine the current NFL players who participated in an arm wrestling event at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino for violating league policy.
• Steelers OLB James Harrison, Dolphins WR Kenny Stills, 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman and Raiders P Marquette King.
• Retired RB Marshawn Lynch also took part in the event, but he won’t be fined given that he’s currently on the reserve/retired list.

Draft

• The Steelers have scheduled a pre-draft visit with Minnesota CB Jalen Myrick for this week. (Adam Caplan)
• Western Michigan DE/OLB Keion Adams is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Wednesday. (Aaron Wilson)
• LSU DL Davon Godchaux has workouts scheduled with the Vikings, Eagles, and Patriots. The Packers are reportedly among the teams that have displayed interest in him. (Aaron Wilson)
• Mississippi State WR Fred Ross has visits lined up with the Panthers and Patriots. (Aaron Wilson)
• The Lions are hosting Penn State WR Chris Godwin for a visit and have previously met with Northern Illinois WR Kenny Golladay on a pre-draft visit. They’ve also worked out Louisville WR Jamari Staples and Michigan WR Jehu Chesson. (Dave Birkett)
