NFL Notes: Roquan Smith, Courtland Sutton, Draft

Roquan Smith

• While the belief has been that Virginia Tech’s Tremaine Edmunds could end up being the first linebacker to come off the board later this month, sources have told Tony Pauline of DraftAnalyst.com that Georgia LB Roquan Smith has been the fastest-rising linebacker and is moving up draft boards as teams gather for their final meetings.
• Pauline reports that the Colts “love” Smith and would like to move down a few spots and select him.
• We have the Raiders taking Smith in our latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.

Courtland Sutton

• Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the SMU WR Courtland Sutton is visiting the Eagles on Monday and is scheduled to work out for the Bears this weekend.
• According to Rapoport, Sutton has also met with the Patriots, Saints, and Cowboys during the draft process.

Draft

• LSU DE/OLB Arden Key is visiting with the Titans on Tuesday. (Ian Rapoport)
• The Patriots attempted to schedule a visit with Stanford S Justin Reid, but scheduling conflicts prevented it from happening. (Josh Norris)
• Arizona DB Dane Cruikshank is scheduled to meet with the Packers and Lions this week. (Ian Rapoport)
• Houston QB Kyle Allen impressed at the Texans’ local prospect day while also throwing at the Cardinals’ local Pro Day. (Ian Rapoport)
• Clemson LB Dorian O’Daniel has worked out for the 49ers, Saints, Bills, Titans, Cowboys and Ravens. He’s traveling to meet with the Jets and has previously visited with the Steelers. (Jordan Schultz)
• Western Kentucky TE Deon Yader is taking a pre-draft visit to meet with the Bengals and has already met with the Packers, Browns and Chiefs. (Jim Owczarski)

• Indiana CB Rashard Fant is scheduled to meet with the Redskins, Lions, Titans and Colts. (Jordan Schultz)
• The Broncos hosted Georgia WR Javon Wims on a pre-draft visit and he’s also drawing interest from the Falcons. (Mike Klis)
• Colorado State WR Michael Gallup had private workouts with the Cowboys and Titans and is scheduled to meet with the Ravens. (Nicki Jhabvala)
