Russell Wilson
Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Texas Rangers have placed Seahawks QB Russell Wilson on their Triple-A roster ahead of Thursday’s Rule 5 draft.
MLB teams will still be able to select him in the next draft, but it would cost them $50,000 and require that Wilson remain on their major league roster for the entire 2015 season.
49ers
- Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that 49ers defensive line coach Jim Tomsula is still the favorite to replace HC Jim Harbaugh next year.
Falcons
- HC Mike Smith confirmed that WR Roddy White is playing through an ankle injury.
“Roddy is a guy that’s going to fight through injury, and he was injured,” Smith said, via Vaughn McClure of ESPN. “He’s had an ankle injury. He played, by the way, the most snaps of any wide receiver in the game last night. It’s hard to keep him out.”
Panthers
- QB Cam Newton is scheduled to be released from the hospital on Wednesday, but there isn’t an update regarding his condition as of now. (Ian Rapoport)
