Cowboys

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys have told QB Dak Prescott that they plan to compensate him fairly at the proper time.
  • Rapoport mentions that the most interesting aspect about a new deal for Prescott is regarding what stance he and his agent take going forward, as he could try to push for a deal that would make him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
  • According to Rapoport, another approach for Prescott could be to follow a similar stance from Russell Wilson, who told the Seahawks he planned to break off extensions talks at the start of the regular season.

Saints

Saints HC Sean Payton tells Mike Triplett of ESPN that he has spoken with RB Mark Ingram and doesn’t agree with his decision to skip offseason workouts.

“He and I spoke, so it wasn’t a surprise to us that he’s not here,” Payton said. “I don’t agree with it. But it is optional, and that’s his choice.”

Ingram has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season for a PED violation.
