NFL Notes: Tim Tebow, Dolphins, Eagles & Ravens

Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow was asked about possible return to the NFL during an interview on “Larry King Now” on Wednesday.

“I’ve talked to a lot of my friends who are in the league and playing and all around, so yeah,” Tebow said about the odds of him playing football again, via the New York Daily News.

Tebow did, however, say that if he ever was to return, he would only be willing to play quarterback.

“You pursue what’s on your heart, you pursue what you’re passionate about and for me in the game of football, is the position of quarterback,” Tebow said. “You don’t do things necessarily because other people want you to, you do what’s on your heart, what you’re passionate about and that’s what I tried to do.”

Eagles & Dolphins

  • Yesterday, Eagles GM Howie Roseman told reporters that a team offered them a first-round pick while they were on the clock during the 2012 NFL draft and were about to take DT Fletcher Cox. However, the Eagles felt like Cox was a top-five talent and passed on the trade offer. (Zach Berman)
  • According to Geoff Mosher, the trade offer came from the Dolphins.

Ravens

  • According to Jason Cole of B/R, Ravens QB Joe Flacco is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. However, there’s still some question as to how much the Ravens will push him in terms of his workload this summer, considering that he’s coming off of an ACL tear.
  • Cole adds that the biggest concern for Flacco will be how he reacts to live action and contact and around him.
