The report originally surfaced from Benjamin Allbright of 94.1 FM in Denver, who said that he has sources within the Broncos and Texans organizations who revealed a trade was in the works.
Allbright also went on to mention that “certain elements” within the Broncos are ready for backup QB Brock Osweiler to start.
However, Allbright also admitted that he had yet to receive official on-the-record statement from either organization prior to Smyth quickly denying the rumor.
