Florio cites a source that the NFL was willing to drop the suspension if Brady: admitted to having knowledge of what actions John Jastremski and Jim McNally had with the footballs, admitted to failing to cooperate with Ted Wells’ investigation, and to apologize for his wrongdoing.
Regardless, Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News reports that a source tells him that the NFL and Brady “never” came close to a settlement deal for a guilty plea, and that there is no chance Brady ever apologizes.
- According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have had “preliminary” extension discussions with RB Lamar Miller.
- Jackson writes that there has been “no discussions” with RE Olivier Vernon regarding a possible extension.
