Tom Brady

Ian Rapoport reports that Judge Berman requested the presence of Giants owner John Mara at Tom Brady settlement talks on Tuesday, and Mara is in attendance for the hearing.

A source in the Brady’s camp tells Josina Andersion: “If we don’t make any progress (Monday) I do expect the decision is going to come pretty quickly. If we don’t settle, I believe a decision will be issued before the (Sept.) 4th.”

Fred Jackson

  • Jason La Canfora reports that teams like the Patriots and Steelers previously did work on Fred Jackson and could be among the teams interested in signing him to a contract.

Bills

  • Adam Caplan mentions that it would be harder for the the Bills to part with RB Bryce Brown via a trade now that they’ve released veteran RB Fred Jackson.

Dolphins

  • Armando Salguero mentions that the Dolphins may try to get K Andrew Franks on their practice squad in the coming days, due to his overall potential.
