The following players went unclaimed off waivers:

• QB Matt Blanchard (Panthers)
• RB Montell Owens (Lions)
• LB Jamar Chaney (Raiders)
• CB Roc Carmichael (Eagles)
• LB Steve Beauharnais
• LB Everette Brown
• CB Greg Ducre (Redskins).

Browns

• Browns tried out kickers Nate Freese, Garrett Hartley, and Zach Hocker. (Howard Balzer)

Saints

• Saints worked out K Zach Hocker on Wednesday. (Ramon Antonio Vargas)
• Saints worked out K Derek Dimke on Wednesday. (Mike Triplett)

Seahawks

• Seahawks signed DL David King off of the Bengals practice squad. (Adam Caplan)

Texans

• Texans Head Coach Bill O’Brien declined to comment whether WR Andre Johnson made progress in the NFL’s concussion protocol.  O’Brien did say that he is day-to-day. (Brian T. Smith)
