NFL Notes: Las Vegas, Texans & Vikings

Las Vegas

  • Vincent Bonsignore reports that it will not cost anyone the $550 million that was required to move to Los Angeles in order to relocate to Las Vegas.
  • According to Bonsignore, citing league sources, a relocation fee to Las Vegas “might” be waived.

Texans

Texan’s second-year WR Jaelen Strong said he is not concerned over the additions of first-round WR Will Fuller or third-round WR Braxton Miller to the roster.

I felt like it was a great addition,” Strong said, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “I feel like we’re going have some fun out there this year and I’m very excited for Braxton and Will. Two young guys ready to come to work every day. Every day they’re excited, they ask questions and that’s the stuff we need.”

Strong went on to say that the team’s success is his primary focus moving forward.

Well, we all just want to win,” Strong said. “That’s all there is to it. We stay on top of each other. When the opportunities come you have to make the best of your opportunities. With those guys around us, around everybody and the teammates that we got, Brock [Osweiler] and Coach [Bill] O’Brien it’s all business, all fun. We’re just ready to go out there and do whatever we can to help our team win.”

Vikings

Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson admitted to being lazy during his three-year career thus far and attributes it to being a first-round pick.

“Sometimes you can be here and you feel like you’ve got to be on the team,” Patterson said, via Chris Tomasson. “You feel like, ‘Yeah, I’m a first-round pick, I’m on the team.’ Things like that, sometimes they make you not work hard, they make you don’t want to do things, make you be lazy.”

Patterson also said that the 2016 season will be a “big year” for him on the Vikings’ roster.

People say, ‘It’s your make or break year,’ ” Patterson said. “I’ve just got to go out and do what I’m supposed to. It’s a big year for me. … We all know what I can do, and I’ve just got to show the coaches I can be there when I need to be, and be on time, be in the right place, the right depth on routes catching the ball. If I do all those things, I feel like things will work out well.
