NFL Rumors: Broncos Ready To Move Forward With Tim Tebow?

Ed Werder of ESPN spoke with Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow following the draft about his future with the Denver Broncos organization.

“I believe in them, and they believe in me,”  said Tebow.

There have been a lot of questions about whether or not the new regime in Denver would be willing to move forward with Tebow considering the question marks that remain but John Elway referred to himself as Tim’s “biggest fan.”

“To have John Elway say positive things about you is just amazing,” Tebow said. “He’s played the game at the highest level possible, and I’m excited because he’s going to be a great asset for me.”

Despite these positive comments, the Broncos still have Kyle Orton under contract so there’s no guarantee that Tebow will be the teams starting quarterback once the 2011 season is finally underway but this is at the very least a positive indication that he’ll be given a legitimate shot to win the starting job.
