Peter King of SI tweets sources have indicated that the Cleveland Browns could announce their next head coach by Thursday.
Earlier reports have Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as the leading candidate for the position. It was thought that Eagles ofensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was another option but he has yet to interview for the position. If the Browns are in fact ready to announce their next head coach on Thursday, you can cross Mornhinweg off the list.
In other Browns related news, Mike Holmgren and company appear to be looking for a new defensive coordinator which doesn’t bode well for Rob Ryan who has already been interviewing for other coaching positions.
