NFL Rumors: Cowboys Considering Trading Dez Bryant?

According to Calvin Watkins, a person in the Cowboys front office who said that they “would think about” trading wide receiver Dez Bryant during the offseason.

Matt Mosley of ESPN.com got some comments from former Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton who said that “they let [Bryant] get away with a lot of stuff. A lot of stuff.” Crayton went on to explain that “hopefully whoever they bring in as receivers coach, and they say [Jason] Garrett is a disciplinarian, won’t let him get away with so much stuff.  He’ll get locked down and hopefully be the next Michael Irvin.”

It’s probably a mistake to think that the Cowboys would really move on from a talented receiver so soon in his NFL career. Bryant would command multiple draft picks including a first-rounder if the Cowboys elect to part with him but that still seems like a long shot.
