Free agent WR Dez Bryant sat down for an interview with Mike Fisher of 247sports.com and discussed some of the teams he’d be interested in signing with.
- According to Fisher, some of the team’s Bryant is interested include the Texans, Jaguars, Rams, and Giants.
- As for the Redskins, who have been linked to Bryant since he became available, Fisher doesn’t think they are a “Dez chart-topper.”
Fisher “senses” that the Giants are the atop Bryant’s wish list. In fact, Bryant went into detail about the Giants being a fit for him.
“The Giants, got a helluva defense, they’re going to pay OBJ (fellow wideout and pal Odell Beckham Jr.), so coming back. Playing with him, Sterling (Shepard) … the tight end (Evan Engram), (QB Eli) Manning? Crazy,” Bryant said. “They draft (Penn State running back Saquan Barkley with the No. 2 overall pick)? That’d be crazy!”
- Jordan Schultz also reports that the Giants are Bryant’s “first choice.”
Adam Schefter listed the Packers are one of four teams that his sources believe could show “varying levels of interest” in Bryant along with the Cardinals, Bills and Ravens.
However, Bryant doesn’t seem interested in playing for the Packers.
“It wouldn’t seem right,” Bryant tells Fisher. “Too much history.”
Ian Rapoport, citing a source informed of the situation, reports that the Ravens are worth watching for Bryant.
“They signed Michael Crabtree earlier in the offseason,” Rapoport said Monday. “They still are looking to add a receiver. There is a lot to like about the Baltimore Ravens and Dez Bryant. Keep an eye on that one.”
This fits with a report from earlier in the day (NFLTR).
