The Miami Dolphins are in an interesting position in regards to their backfield. Both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams will be free agents at some point so they’ll have to figure who if either of them will be returning. Miami drafted Daniel Thomas this weekend so that eliminates one RB spot.
GM Jeff Ireland said recently that he wan’t going to rule out the possibility that they could keep one of Brown or Williams.
“I wouldn’t look into Ronnie or Ricky [Williams’] future around here as being over. I wouldn’t do that,” G.M. Jeff Ireland said.
Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald thinks that the Dolphins would prefer to keep Ronnie Brown but adds that his return is no certainty.
Both DeAngelo Williams and Darren Sproles have been rumored to be possible options for the Dolphins but they are based more on speculation than anything else.
