Draft

  • Gil Brandt said on SiriusXM NFL Radio that the Vikings and Bengals both want TCU WR Josh Doctson and a team could trade around in the first round to draft him, via Alex Marvez.
  • North Dakota State OL Joe Haeg has had 11 private workouts, while the Jets, Eagles, Cardinals, Buccaneers, Chargers, and Packers have all shown interest in him. (Darren Wolfson)

Dolphins

Recently acquired CB Byron Maxwell said he will be allowed to play on the line of scrimmage to jam receivers more frequently this year.

That’s one of the things I do best. I look forward to doing that,” said Maxwell, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “He wants us to press and play man coverage and be aggressive with the receivers on the line and get them off their routes…. I love it down here.”

Saints

  • Saints QB Drew Brees said he is willing to play out the final year of his contract if needed. (Alex Marvez)
  • Brees remains “very confident” he will receive an extension this offseason, despite being in a contract year and announcing that he is willing to play out his current deal.

Seahawks

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll would not give a timeline for the recovery of TE Jimmy Graham (patellar tendon) or RB Thomas Rawls‘ (ankle) injuries, but did say they were progressing well.

Everything’s going well, yeah,” Carroll said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “Everything’s really in good shape. It’s just when they push to get back we are going to have to see what the timeline is, you know, so we can tell. It’s going good.”
