NFL Rumors: Eagles Considering Trading Kolb?

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed that they will listen to offers for Kevin Kolb, according Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News.

“People have shown a little interest (in Kolb), and as this thing picks up, I’m sure it will continue,” Reid speculated. “Listen, we’ll sit back and we’ll evaluate.”

Domowitch writes that “there’s a very good chance the Eagles will acquiesce to Kevin Kolb’s request to be traded.” Despite Domowitch’s optimism, there are a number of hurdles that would have to get sorted out before Kolb can be moved. A new CBA is required in order for teams to execute trades and the Eagles are reportedly asking for a package of draft picks that includes a first-round pick in return for Kolb.

The most interesting thing about Reids comments is that he seems like he willing to move him if someone offers them a great deal. In the past few months Reid seemed reluctant to consider trading Kolb but by showing even a small amount of interest, it could entice a team to give up a solid package of draft picks.

There are a number of teams that have been suggested as possible trade destinations for Kolb. The Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans could all be in on Kolb.
