A few days ago we posted a rumor about the Falcons possibly trading up into the top-ten but that appears to be an unlikely scenario considering what it would cost to do so. It’s a better bet to assume that they’ll be taking a player at No. 27 rather than moving up.
D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution discusses some of the players that they’ll most likely be considering at No. 27. Interesting, he mentions that Adrian Clayborn and Cameron Heyward are two players that the Falcons are not considering. Instead Ledbetter lists Brandon Harris, Akeem Ayers, Brooks Reed, Torrey Smith and Derek Sherrod as five players that could come off of the board once Atlanta is on the clock.
We’ve have Atlanta taking Akeem Ayers in our Final Mock Draft.
