Early today there were reports that Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is in the lead for the Cleveland Browns head coaching position. The Browns have announced that Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell will interview with the team some time tomorrow but this could end up being another failed example of the Rooney Rule.
If Shurmur ends up leaving for Cleveland the Rams offensive coordinator position will be up for grabs and Jason La Canfora has an interesting suggestion for who may take over. La Canfora tweets that several people believe that Josh McDaniels could be next in line to call the shots in St Louis.
McDaniels has been linked to the Minnesota Vikings but may end up finding the Rams position to be more desirable. Having Sam Bradford in place would be a definite upgrade to the Vikings quarterback situation.
