NFL Rumors: Kevin Kolb Starter Or Trade?

Kevin Kolb’s 2010 season didn’t turn out to be what everyone was expecting. Following the teams loss to the Green Bay Packers, Kolb offered up some comments regarding his future with the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I love it here, as everybody knows,” Kolb said. “My family’s settled in here. I would love to be starting here. But I want to be starting somewhere.”

When asked if he would be willing to be the teams backup quarterback next season, Kolb responded by saying  “I can’t answer that question.”

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer writes that a source close to Kolb has told him that he would want out of Philadelphia if the Eagles decide to bring Michael Vick back as the teams starting quarterback.

With so many teams in need of a quarterback, Kolb’s value may never have been as high as it currently is. Andy Reid and company will have tough decision to make regarding the future of the team but earlier reports suggested that Eagles have been asking for two first-round picks in return Kolb. If a new CBA is in place, Kolb could be dealt to one of a number of teams but here are some that he has already been linked to: Buffalo, Carolina, Minnesota, Arizona and Miami.

There are other options than the before mentioned teams so Philly will most likely test the waters if they choose to go with Michael Vick.
