NFL Rumors: Kyle Rudolph Off The Board In The First-Round?

The Miami Herald reports that two NFL sources have informed them that the Miami Dolphins have Notre Dame TE Kyle Rudolph high on their board and that there’s even a chance that they could take him at No. 15 depending on how the draft plays out.

Rudolphs stock has been rising in the days leading up to the draft and the consensus is that he’s the best tight end prospect in the entire draft. Miami needs a solid tight end and this would help them solidify that position but it’s hard to think that taking a tight end with the first-round pick would make them more competitive for the upcoming season.

Tony Pauline of SI.com reports that the St Louis Rams are another team to watch.

“St. Louis Rams looking hard at Kyle Rudolph. … Several offers on the table to trade down, then grab him.”

The Rams could also use a tight end and being able to get the No. 1 prospect while trading back a few picks makes a lot of sense for St Louis.

Atlanta has also been linked to Rudolph but there has been more “buzz” about them trading up than taking a tight end in the first-round.
