NFL Rumors: Marc Bulger In Arizona?

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic takes a look at the Cardinals options at quarterback for the upcoming season. Somers sees Ravens backup quarterback Marc Bulger as the favorite to be the teams starting quarterback.

He points out that Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt was interested in bringing Bulger in a their starting quarterback before they ended up signing Derek Anderson. It’s been a while since Marc Bulger was an effective starting quarterback in the NFL which is something that the team should consider. Despite the risk Bulger would definitely be an upgrade at the QB position  and could give them a shot at winning the NFC West division next year.

Other options that Cardinals could explore would include trading for either Kyle Orton or Kevin Kolb but that would require dealing draft picks. They could also look to the upcoming draft but the available quarterbacks  are considered to be project quarterbacks at best which is something that they already have which leads us to their final option. Arizona could stick with John Skelton and Max Hall but that doesn’t seem like the best idea if they are serious about attempting to compete.
