Michael Vick

Free agent QB Michael Vick tells Josina Anderson that he wants to play one year in the NFL.

“I’m willing to wait the entire year out, but it’s definitely going to be it for me (after that),” Vick said. “I still want to play one more year… I’m going to keep my options open and not rush into it.”

Bears

• Jeff Dickerson reports that the Bears have resumed contract talks with free agent TE Zach Miller.

Dolphins

• Ed Werder reports that with the Dolphins and Eagles trade now on hold, it could have ramifications for veteran CB Brent Grimes, who was expected to be released.

Giants

• Jason La Canfora reports that it may not be all that long until Giants free agent DE Robert Ayers is the best option still available pass rusher.
• La Canfora expects there to be plenty of needy teams in the market for him once some players are off the board.
• Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants are gearing up to make a run at DE Olivier Vernon, who is their top priority in free agency.
• Raanan adds that safety and tight end do not appear to be priorities for the Giants right now.

Jets

• Jason La Canfora reports that the Jets are negotiating with free agent RB Bilal Powell.
• However, there also two other teams in the mix for Powell right.
