NFL Rumors: Ryan Mallett Plans On Rewarding The Team That Takes Him

Despite being the best quarterback prospect in draft, Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett was passed on by every team that drafted in the first-round.

Mallett showed some disappointment following the first-round last night.

“Whatever team is going to be smart enough to pick me, we’re going to make something happen,” Mallett said last night. “I just want to play ball, that’s what I say. I’m not disappointed. I mean I’m disappointed, but I have a chance to play in the NFL, so I’m not too disappointed.”

Character concerns have pushed him back into the second-round and some draft experts believe that there’s a chance he could fall into the third or possibly the fourth-round.

From this point on, Mallett will be the most interesting story considering his skill set and the number of teams that are in need of a quarterback. Depending on how far he falls, the Miami Dolphins are team that could make a move up for him. They spent a lot of time with him leading up to the draft so there’s a chance that they could move up and get him at some point tonight.
