NFL Rumors: Seattle A Fit For Carson Palmer?

Mike Salk of 710 ESPN thinks that the Seattle Seahawks are a great fit for Carson Palmer.

[Palmer] used to play for Pete Carroll,” Salk said over the weekend. “He won a Heisman, [they] won a championship together at USC. Matt Hasselbeck wasn’t signed by the time they hit that deadline before the lockout. Could everything come together? I think you can present a pretty clear scenario where it actually does come together.

The logic is simple but also worth consideration. Carroll passed on the opportunity to bring in one of his former QB’s last season when the Cardinals cut Matt Leinart but then again Palmer is ten times the quarterback that Leinart is.

ESPN’s John Clayton doesn’t think that the Cincinnati Bengals will trade Palmer because of owner Mike Brown’s unwillingness to give into Carson’s trade demands.

Seattle will need to figure out their quarterback situation sooner rather than later because it’s hard to imagine that Charlie Whitehurst is going to lead them back to the playoffs next season.
