NFL Rumors: Titans Reluctant To Start Jake Locker?

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean writes that Tennessee Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt sees themselves adding a veteran QB to their roster rather than moving forward with Jake Locker and Rusty Smith.

“We’d still like a guy that’s been a seasoned guy that could step in and play,” said Reinfeldt. “I don’t think we want to put the pressure on Jake to have to do it. I think we want to be able to let him go at his own pace.”

The Titans have kept Kerry Collins around for the last few season so he’s a possible option for them but so is Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck. Beat writer John Glennon mentions that Hasselbeck has ties the Titans front office and could be a good fit the team’s offensive scheme.
