NFL Rumors: Titans Will Try To Trade Vince Young

Earlier in the week we discussed the Tennessee Titans options for Vince Young now that they have decided that he’s no longer apart of their longterm plans. Tennessee will have a hard time finding a team that will be willing to give up anything of value in return for Vince Young and his staggering 2011 salary ($8.4 million).

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Titans intend to trade Young despite the obstacles that they will be faced with. Tennessee will have ten days from the start of the 2011 season to trade Young before he is due a roster bonus of $4.25 million.

It’s been reported that there are few teams already interested in him but the large salary will be an inhibiting factor throughout trade talks. The most likely scenario is that Tennessee will end up releasing him which would then allow him to sign on with another NFL team.
