NFL Rumors: Vikings Locking Up Peterson?

The Pioneer Press writes about the offseason to-do list for the Minnesota Vikings which should include offering contracts to Chad Greenway and Sidney Rice both of whom will be free agents at seasons end. Another important item on the list would include a contract extension for Adrian Peterson.

“Then, Adrian Peterson is expected to receive a five-year contract in the $50 million range, with at least half guaranteed”, per the Pioneer Press.

They go on to speculate that the Vikings may look to sign Ryan Longwell and Brian Robison and could part with Madieu Williams and Bernard Berrian. There is a good chance that the Vikings do exactly considering that Bernard Berrian is set to make $3.9 million next season and then climbs to $6.9 million and $7.9 million over the remaining two seasons.
