NFL Rumors: Vince Young In Miami?

Brian Biggane of the Palm Beach Post speculates that the Miami Dolphins could consider bringing in Vince Young as their next quarterback. The Tennessee Titans have already made it clear that they are ready to move on without Young on their roster and the Dolphins are in desperate need of solidifying the quarterback position.

Chad Henne‘s uninspiring performance over the last two seasons has forced the team to consider other options. Young has shown that he can be a productive quarterback in the NFL and there is little doubt that he gives them a better chance to win than Henne does.

The Titans would like to trade Young but given that trades cannot be made until March 4th, which can only happen in a new CBA agreement is in place, it doesn’t appear that a trade is the most likely scenario. Releasing Young makes the most sense considering that teams aren’t likely to commit to trading draft picks for a player that could end up being a problem for them.

Young is only 27 and still has time to get things turned around. If the Titans end up releasing him there will be a number of teams that will kick the tires on the idea of bringing him in.
