NFL Teams Still Concerned About Free Agent CB Terrell Thomas’ Knee

Free agent CB Terrell Thomas mentioned during an interview on Sirius XM NFL radio that NFL teams are still concerned about his surgically repaired knee.

  • Thomas believes this is the main reason for why he’s still unsigned.

Thomas, 29, was once a very promising player in the league, but he has unfortunately suffered three ACL tears over the course of his career.

Teams like the Patriots, Panthers and Raiders have all brought Thomas in for workouts this offseason, but there hasn’t been a lot of buzz in recent weeks, which fits with the idea that these teams could be reluctant to sign a player who has had three ACL surgeries.

He missed all of 2011 and 2012 due to ACL tears, but he managed to return last year and play in all 16 games for the Giants. Thomas finished the season with 67 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.
