Nick Saban Not Leaving For The NFL Anytime Soon

Alabama head coach Nick Saban did his best to put to rest any speculation that would consider taking a head coaching job in the NFL.

Saban mentioned that he had “a very, very difficult time thinking that I could impact the organization in the way that I wanted to or the way that I was able to in college, and it was very difficult for me, because there’s a lot of parity in the NFL, there’s a lot of rules in the NFL,” via the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Saban added that he’s put the idea of returning to the NFL to rest.

It’s hard to argue that things could get any better than what he currently has at Alabama. His teams are in contention for nation titles every year and his current string of success has included 3 titles in 4 years. Alabama continues to churn out NFL talent as well as school and his recruiting classes are always in the top five.

There would definitely be interest if he wanted to move on, but it seems safe to assume that Saban will remain with Alabama for the foreseeable future.

So let me get this straight………… No NFL team will give you the authority you carry at the University. (Ego, control freak…. check)….. The parity of the NFL scares you because chances are pretty good you will lose right out of the gate. No more clout and pull with the school and officials on the field. Also, a move to the NFL will introduce you to more rules, thus, getting back to the whole ego/ control freak thing……
    Gotcha….
