Nnamdi Asomugha Willing To Renegotiate His Contract To Remain An Eagle?

Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha was asked whether or not he would be willing to renegotiate his contract to remain in Philadelphia beyond this season.

Yeah, I mean all I can say right now is I really wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” said Asomugha, via Philly Mag: Birds 24/7. “I definitely want to be back here.

Asomugha is set to make a staggering base salary of $15 million salary for the 2013 season and includes $4 million in guarantees. There has been plenty of rumors that the Eagles front office will ask him to renegotiate that number to something more cap-friendly. Fellow cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will also be a free agent at the end of the season, so the Eagles will have to decide if it’s really good idea to have these guys locked up for the coming years.

We have Rodgers-Cromartie listed as the No. 47 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
