No Timetable For Arian Foster’s Return

According to Tania Galguli of the Houston Chronicle, there is still no definitive timeline as to when RB Arian Foster will return from the active/PUP list.

Despite being two months apart from having suffered a calf strain during the team’s OTAs, Foster is still feeling “soreness” and has stated that he will not be rushing things.

“You can’t play through it,” Foster said. “It’s not like you’re playing through a broken collar bone. I’ve played through a lot of things, this is just something you can’t. There’s no reason to right now. I’m just  going to take my time. When I feel 100 percent confident, I’ll be back. It’s just got some light soreness in there. I can do pretty much everything. We’re just going to take it day by day.

The Texans can take Foster of the PUP list at any point before the second round of roster cuts, so if Foster hasn’t been removed from the list by then, he would miss the first six games of the regular season.

The injury doesn’t appear to be anything major, but it should be taken into account in the long run as Foster’s workload has been a concern.
