Ohio State C Billy Price Underwent Surgery For Torn Pec, Likely Will Miss 4 Months

Adam Schefter reports that Ohio State C Billy Price underwent successful surgery on his “incomplete pec tear” on Tuesday. Price is reportedly expected to be sidelined four months but should be ready for the start of training camp.

Price was graded as a first-round talent by some evaluators heading into the combine and projected as a guard or center at the NFL level, so it will be interesting to see how this injury affects his draft value.

Price is a two-time All-American while at Ohio State and is viewed as one of the top centers available in the 2018 NFL Draft. He set a school record for consecutive starts at 55.

In 2017, Price was named the Big Ten offensive lineman of the year, was a unanimous All-American, and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.
