Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly Visited With Seahawks, Chiefs & Bills

Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly tells Sirius XM NFL Radio that he visited with the Seahawks, Chiefs, and Bills during the pre-draft process and had great talks with other teams by phone.

Kelly underwent surgery a few weeks ago for an acute rupture of ligament between two bones in his throwing wrist, which will prevent him from throwing for the next three months.

The surgery was performed at Dr. James Andrews’ clinic and he’s confident that Kelly will make a full recovery should be ready for the start of training camp.

Kelly aggravated his throwing wrist while working out.

It’s also worth mentioning that Kelly suffered a season-ending injury last year that included tears to his ACL and lateral meniscus.

Kelly, 22, originally began his career at Clemson before later transferring to Ole Miss for the 2015 season. He had some off-the-field issues to go along with a serious knee injury, so it will be interesting to see where he goes in this year’s draft.

In total, Kelly threw for 6,858 yards while completing 63.8 percent of his passes to go along with 50 touchdowns and 22 interceptions over the course of 27 games.
