Optimisim That Justin Blackmon Will Be Back In 2015

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that there is optimism among people in the NFL that Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon will overcome his issues and be back for the 2015 season.

Despite being arrested for a third time, the Jaguars have said publicly that they have no plans to release Blackmon if/when he’s reinstated into the NFL.

His most recent arrest that led to an indefinite suspension was for possession of marijuana.

Blackmon was stopped for a traffic violation when officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the car. After searching the vehicle, the police did in fact find marijuana, which led to him being taken into custody.

Blackmon, 25, still has one year remaining on his four-year, $18.5 million rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $2,914,365 for the 2015 season.

He appeared in only four games back in 2013, registering 29 catches for 415 yards and a touchdown.
