A Decision Regarding The Eagles Next DC Could Be Coming Soon

Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Enquirer writes that an announcement regarding the Eagles next defensive coordinator could be coming soon.

New head coach Chip Kelly has completed most of the hiring’s for his staff, but there’s been speculation that the Eagles could be waiting until after the Super Bowl hire an assistant on either the Ravens of the 49ers coaching staffs, according to McLane.

He adds that Philadelphia may have already hired a defensive coordinator from the college ranks, but are waiting until after signing day to announce the move.

McLane lists Ravens linebackers coach Ted Monachino, 49ers defensive backs coach Ed Donatell and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula as potential NFL options.

Georgia DC Todd Grantham’s name has come up, but the Bulldogs say they have had no contact from any NFL team.
