Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that Oregon State DE Scott Crichton will be finishing up his meeting with the Seahawks on Wednesday.
- Crichton has previously worked out for the Patriots, Falcons, Panthers, and visited with the Redskins and Bills.
Crichton’s name has come up as a potential first-round pick, but he wasn’t one of the 30 prospects to receive an invitation to attend this year’s draft. Of course, this alone isn’t enough of indication to say he won’t be selected in round one.
Crichton put together a decent workout at this year’s Scouting Combine and has impressed some evaluators with “motor.”
Seattle could be looking to add some depth to their defensive line after they were forced to part ways with veteran DE Chris Clemons and Red Bryant this offseason.
We have him going to the Lions in the second-round of our recently updated 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
