Packers Activate TE Andrew Quarless, Place WR Ty Montgomery On I.R.

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers have activated TE Andrew Quarless from the short-term injured reserve list on Monday.

  • According to Demovsky, the Packers also placed WR Ty Montgomery on season-ending injured reserve.

Quarless, 26, still has one year remaining on his Signed a two-year, $3 million contract, which includes a base salary of $1.3 million to go along with a $200,000 roster bonus and a $75,000 workout bonus.

There had been talk that Quarless could be cut loose following an incident in which he fired a gun in Florida during the offseason, but Green Bay elected to stand by him.

In 2014, Quarless appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and caught 29 passes for 323 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

Montgomery, 22, is in the first year of his four-year, $2.949 million rookie contract that included a $606,544 signing bonus. He’ll make a base salary of $435,000 this season to go along with $525,000 in 2016.

His rookie year ends with him appearing in six games and recording 15 receptions for 136 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Packers.
