Packers Activate WR Jordy Nelson From PUP List

The Green Bay Packers officially activated WR Jordy Nelson (ACL) off of the active/PUP list on Wednesday after he passed a physical, according to Field Yates.

Nelson, 31, is working his way back from a season-ending ACL tear he sustained during the preseason. Green Bay has made it clear that they will be cautious with their No. 1 receiver, so we may not see him until the start of the season.

Nelson is in the third year of his five-year, $43 million contract that included a $11.5 million signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $5.5 million for the 2016 season.

In 2014, Nelson appeared in all 16 games and recorded 98 receptions for 1,519 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
