Packers Bringing In OL Ben Gottschalk For A Tryout

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Packers are bringing in former Chiefs and Buccaneers OL Ben Gottschalk for a tryout on Monday.

Gottschalk, 23, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in May of last year. He was unable to make Kansas City’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad.

The Buccaneers signed him to a contract in early April. However, he was waived to make room for K Brandon Bogotay a few weeks ago.

Gottschalk has yet to appear in an NFL game.
