Packers Could Make Some Notable Roster Cuts

Rob Reischel of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel takes a stab at projecting the Green Bay Packers final 53-man roster. Most notably, Reischel has the Packers cutting backup QB Graham Harrell, as well as RB James Starks.

Reischel adds that “their best move is trading for a veteran.”

Both Colt McCoy and Tarvaris Jackson could be trade options for them to pursue in the near future. It’s hard to say what they Packers would be willing to part with in return for either players, but a fifth-round pick has been floated as the asking price for McCoy.

As for Starks, Reischel points to Starks injury history as the main reason why the team would consider moving on. He has the Packers keeping Cedric Benson installed as their “lead back,” along with Alex Green and Brandon Saine.
