Packers Designate OL Jason Spriggs To Return From Injured Reserve

The Green Bay Packers have designated OL Jason Spriggs to return from injured reserve on Thursday, according to Wes Hodkiewicz.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Packers to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.

Green Bay has one more designation to use for the remainder of the season and depending on how things go over the next month or so, Aaron Rodgers could be a candidate towards the end of the season.

Spriggs, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $5.004 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $677,468 and $904,936 over the next two years.

The Packers placed him on injured reserve a few weeks into the regular season.

In 2017, Spriggs was limited to appearing in just one game for the Packers.
