Packers Expected To Work Out QBs For This Week

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers will bring in some free agent quarterbacks for workouts this week. Unfortunately, Demovsky doesn’t list any players who will try out for Green Bay.

The Packers have called up QB Joe Callahan from their practice squad to operate as Brett Hundley‘s backup.

With this in mind, it seems likely that the Packers will be looking to add a quarterback to their practice squad, as opposed to signing someone to their active roster.

Packers HC Mike McCarthy made it clear after Sunday’s game that they’re moving forward with Hundley as their starter, so it would come as a surprise to see them reach out to a veteran option right now.

For what it’s worth, Green Bay previously worked out QB Jerod Evans last month (NFLTR).

We’ll have more regarding which quarterbacks are working out for the Packers as the news is available.
