Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that Packers FS Nick Collins underwent “a battery of tests” to see how he’s recovered from the single-fusion surgery performed on his neck last year.
“I think by Monday we’ll know something,” said Collins agent, Alan Herman. “I assume we’ll know something by Monday.”
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has said that Collins will still have to convince a number of people that he’s healthy enough to play before they even consider having him return to the field. The fact that he plays a position that requires him to make hits consistently makes it hard to guesstimate whether or not he’ll be cleared, but there’s still a chance that he could resume his career.
