Packers Gave DT Brian Price Salary Increase After Colts Tried To Sign Him

Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers recently increased DT Brian Price‘s salary from $6,900 per week to $26,470 while he remains on their practice squad.

According to Demovsky, the Packers gave Price a pay raise this week after the Colts attempted to sign him off of their practice squad. Price elected to remain in Green Bay, even though there have been other teams that have expressed interest in him throughout the season.

At $26,470 per week, Price would make an annual salary of $449,900, as opposed to $117,300 with the practice squad minimum.

Price, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas-San Antonio back in May. However, he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Packers later signed him to their practice squad before calling him up for a brief stint on their active roster back in September.

In 2016, Price has been active for one game but hasn’t recorded a statistic.
