Packers Interested In Re-Signing RB James Starks

According to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, “it sounds like” the Packers are interested in re-signing RB James Starks.

Starks, 27, is an unrestricted free agent who is coming off of a pretty decent season for the Packers. He finished the year with 493 yards rushing on 89 carries and contributed four total touchdowns.

Green Bay drafted Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin last year and has DuJuan Harris will also be returning from a knee injury, so there is some question as to whether or not the Packers would try to retain Starks.

The Packers have a number of key free agents to address this offseason including CB Sam Shields, DE B.J. Raji, WR James Jones, TE Jermichael Finley and C Evan Dietrich-Smith, which means there may not be money left for Starks.

We have him listed as the No. 76 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
