Packers Lose OLB Andy Mulumba For The Season With ACL Injury

Packers OLB Andy Mulumba announced via his Twitter account Wednesday that an MRI confirmed his ACL injury and he’ll miss the rest of the 2014 season.

Mulumba, 24, still has two years remaining on histhree-year, $1.495 million contract. He’ll make a base salary of $495,000 for the 2014 season and another $585,000 in 2015 before becoming a restricted free agent in 2016.

Last year, Mulumba appeared in 14 games for the Packers and recorded 31 tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery for the Packers. However, Green Bay’s depth at outside linebacker has limited him to playing on special teams in 2014.
