Packers Lose OLB Frank Zombo

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy announced that outside linebackers Frank Zombo and Brad Jones both suffered injuries during the teams second preseason.

McCarthy said that Jones has sprained knee while Zombo will miss a “significant amount of time” because of a broken scapula that he suffered before the game. Amazingly enough Zombo played against the Cardinals despite having a broken shoulder blade.

The fact that the Packers had two players at the same position go down is a bit concerning as they had been competing with Eric Walden for the starting job opposite of Clay Mathews. Green Bay will have to work their magic for another season and find adequate replacements.
